Leah Day Free Motion Project 2013 - Free Motion Quilting Friday linkup

This will be my first week doing the Free Motion Quilting Friday linkup.  It started last Friday, but I didn't have time to get my linkup done.  So I will be starting this Friday. I still need a lot of practice. 

 Here's what I have done on the "Express Your Love"
The Printing of the pattern is done.

 The tracing is done and the words.

 The Free Motion Echoing around the words.
 
Now also the Foundation Echoing around the earth.
 

I hope I can keep up with this every week.  I am really enjoying doing this weekly, Thanks Leah for all that you have been showing us and more to come.

      I thought about buying one, but I have always wanted to try transferring a pattern on to fabric.

    Oh boy you are caught up! You have tried all of the suggestions so far. I like your echo quilting. I don't think I will do that on my quilt because I changed Earth.

      I am fairly new to FMQ just started last year so I am trying all the suggestions and after I got them down I will try everything I learned on a different project. So this year will be learning as much as I can.

    you are very talented this is my first time on doing a quilt like this . How did you trace it on the black fabric ? I have photo film I may use that I can trace picture and after sewing outline I can iron off. I haven't tryed that yet so everything will be a first for me should be interesting

      Thank you Linda, This is my first time actually quilting every week like this. I followed some of Leah's projects last year, but didn't actually quilt the designs... So this year I wanted to really do this quilt along with her.
      I printed the pattern out and taped them together and then I placed it on the dark blue fabric with the batting and backing. Then just traced the lines with my sewing machine. After I was done then I tear the paper off. I want to do another one and try a different way to transfer the design.
