I can't believe that it's February already, where did January go... To night I am not posting the BOM, due to that I am reviewing the video and it's not ready yet. I want to post the block with the video on how to paper piece. Saturday I will have the BOM and a video to post.
Please come back Saturday and view my first tutorial video.
Keep warm and safe tonight.

UFO for 2014
This year my goal to finish my UFO's. I have so many that I started last year that I didn't actually complete. So I am going to have this all completed by the end of the year. That is piecing and quilting them all.
Here is one that I have almost completed. It only has 10 blocks, but with in those 10 blocks you 16 HST's that make that block. There were 4 blocks that I didn't complete in 2013 so on the 5th of January I was determine to finish those 4 blocks. and I did.
Here are some pictures of those 4 that I completed in January, remember there are 16 HST in each block. I am hoping by the end of February I will have it all quilted. Just need to find the right backing.
There are many UFO's to complete for 2014, I will be posting more pictures in the future.
Have a great day, and remember to sew at least 15 minutes a day in 2014.

A Modern Stain Glass Paper Piecing - BOM - 2014
This is the first time that I have done a BOM, so bare with me if there are some errors. I am really excited and honored to create this BOM with using EQ7 for my Modern Quilting Guild.
There are two links that will take you to Google Docs. The first link is just the image of the blocks. The second link is the files for the Paper Piecing in the links, I am using Google docs (I hope it works). I am working on some videos for the next block.
Here's the fabric yardage (remember this is just an estimate, you might need more or less)
Orange = 1/4 yard
Red = 3/8 yard
Yellow = 3/8 yard
White = 1/4 yard
Black = 1 + 3/8 yard
Blue = 3/8
Purple = 3/8
I cut 4 inch wide by the width of the fabric of each color, the Black I cut 2 1/2 strips and they worked better to piece.
If you haven't ever paper pieced before, there are a lot of good video's on YouTube and also on Craftsy.com.
January First - BOM - Paper Piecing
This is only the first block of two for January I will post the second block in two weeks.
Hope you enjoy trying the paper piecing with me this year.

Happy New Year "2014"
Happy New Year to everyone. Sure hope 2014 is a better year for me on blogging, I started off pretty good. But then life hit and it was a while before I blogged.
This year I am doing a BOM for my Modern Quilt Guild. So each month I will be posting the blocks on here. This will be paper piecing. Come back on the first Thursday of each month and I will be posting the blocks.
My husband was great this year for Christmas and really listened to what I wanted. I needed a new camera so that I could get better pictures of my quilts in progress. I always wanted a serger, this is a great beginner one I believe, I have already made two quilts with it so far. (pictures following). He also made this thread holder for me. I had all my thread in a large basket. Now I can see them all on the wall. Then, he purchased all the misc. items that I mentioned that I would like to have. He even went to a quilt shop and got me some fat quarters. A year ago he had no idea what a fat quarter was. I love it that my husband supports my hobby.
Here are the two quilts that I made with the serger.
I have been quilting/sewing even though I haven't posted much. Here are a couple other items that I made before Christmas. I made a weekend tote for my mother-in-law, some fabric scrap baskets, I found this fat quarter bag pattern that I had to try (the small one is great for gift cards, made from a 5" square). And, then I have been working on the Bonnie Hunter's Celtic Solstice Mystery!
I believe this will be all for tonight. I will be back tomorrow to post the BOM.
Happy New Year again.
Until tomorrow!
