Creativity Challenge #1 - Doodle for at least 30 minutes

I am trying something new this year with Prairie Moon Quilts.

Creativity Challenge #1: Doodle for at least 30 minutes

This was relaxing and fun.  I had some books

on Zentangling that I used for inspiration.

The first one was just doodling with the Name of this challenge.

There was YouTube video that I took the inspiration from that

video to create my next one.

Added some color to make it pop.

The next one is from the Zentangling book that I had that I used for inspiration.

Then at work I was doodling while on the phone or when a report was loading.

So yes this challenged me to come up with some ideas the bottom two I didn't have any reference just started to doodle.  This was a great challenge.  I know I am running a few days late for the next challenge, but getting ready to start working on January 14th challenge today.

"Make your initial out of something"

So off to the sew/craft room on this snowing Sunday afternoon.

Happy Quilting!!

August 350 Blocks Report

The goal was 30 blocks I actually did a little be more this month. 56 blocks.

Back in May I ordered the 2015 Mystery Quilt by Hoop-sisters.  Yea, I finally got to get started on it.  I only did 8 of the blocks, each one takes about 30 to 45 minutes too do. I am really liking how it's turning out, I am using some of the fabric my husband bought me for my Birthday.

I have been play around with PicMonkey and made some of these pictures below with blocks that I worked on this month.  These are all from the  Skill Builder BOM 2015 Technicolor Galaxy quilt.

This one has some of my prep work for September.

I actually got one more row done for the Row by Row Experience row.

I also go a new toy for my bothers scan n cut. (Another Birthday present).  The Rhinestone Starter Kit.  This really cool.  I love Rhinestones. Now I can create my own templates.

Some other stuff I have been doing this month other than quilting.  Zentangle, baby bib.

Of course I had to have a couple pictures of my two beautiful granddaughters.

Happy Sewing!!!

Didn't do much quilting, did something else.....

I didn't get much quilting done today. I got my drawing pad out and did some Zentangles.  My mother-in-law bought me a couple of books, I love them. Here are a couple pictures of what I have done with them... wouldn't they look good in a quilt... hmmm maybe someday....

I really like this one, I was working on my feathers and swirls.

I ordered another class from Craftsy.com today, it's called Shoot-It. The instructor is Caro Sheridan.  She's a great teacher so far... I have only watched a couple of the course.  I am hoping that I will be able to take better pictures in the near future. We will see....

Until tomorrow...
