I haven't posted in a while due to having the flu... just about over it now.
Yesterday I did finish piecing my blocks for the Beginner’s Quilt-Along. It was to late for the voting, but at least I completed that part, hopefully next week I will be able to start quilting it... here's a picture..

Beginner’s Quilt-Along: Block 3
Block 3 - Time for Ice Cream (aka Shoo Fly) is complete, for the QAL.
Beginner’s Quilt-Along
So here is what I have completed so far on this QAL.... all three blocks...
I don't have my design wall up yet, waiting till we move into our own appartment before I put that, plus it's in storage right now. But on Aug 1st, we are moving again into our own appartment. It's been nice staying in the Corporate Appartment, but it's not like having your own place and your own stuff.... :)

Beginner's Quilt Along
Quilting Gallery's blog (Michele (aka Mishka)) is doing a Beginner’s Quilt-Along the teacher will be Pat Sloan in the Leaning Center section of the blog. You really need to check this out.
We’ll be making 12 or 13 – 12″ finished blocks for our quilt. You’ll have two options for putting your quilt together: either a standard layout with 4 rows and 3 blocks per row or an on-point layout that Pat Sloan will be teaching us how to do. The blocks are a Mystery .. you’ll have to check back each week to see the latest one.

The folks at Reliable Corporation have donated a Digital Velocity V100 iron to one lucky blog reader that helps us spread the word about the quilt-along to others.
So spread the word... Beginner’s Quilt-Along
I know you may say why are you doing a beginner's quilt since you have been quilting since 2008, well to tell you the truth, I need as much practice as possible. So doing things like this will really help...
Anyway here is my fabric that I have chosen for this quilt.
I haven't picked up the backing yet, will do that next week.
I can't wait till June 7th when we can get started on this Beginner’s Quilt-Along.
