"Seams To Be Sew" Has put together a Halloween Haunts 2015 blog hop.

This is going on from October 16th to October 28th.

Here is the schedule for today Halloween Haunts:

Today I will be showing you what I have been doing,
The big project that I did was made for my husband it's a Halloween quilt, he has asked me for almost 8 years to make him a Halloween quilt.
He actually designed the entire quilt, colors and all.
We used a panel piece for the middle and strips around it. Then he took the photo of the quilt.

The other projects that I completed was all from scraps of this quilt. Don't you just love using up all your scraps...
It's not really a tutorial, but it is an easy project that you could complete in no time with 4 patches.
First pick 5 colors of fabric (Halloween Colors) for me is Orange, Black, Lime Green and Purple. Then I through in a spider fabric.
Cut 3 1/2 square blocks. (I have an AccuCut so this went really fast).

Start pairing them up with different colors and chain piecing them together.

Lay them out in the order you like. Then start making your 4 patch.

I mixed it up with my 4 patches I have lime/purple, purple/orange, lime/orange and then black with the spider print.

Then started to sewing them all together with 4 - 4 patch sets together with the black and spider print in the middle then another set of 4 patches.
Turned out to be a cute Halloween table runner.

Here is the finished table runner.

With the extra strips I made some mug rugs for around the house for October.

I really enjoyed creating all these this month, it was exciting, it also kept me on track to actually get something completed.

The Fat Quarter Shop is giving a $25.00 gift certificate for each day of this hop, You can enter at any of the featured sites of the day.

October 22 expires October 23

Happy Quilting!

  28. I enjoyed looking at all of your projects. I did have to laugh at the idea of using up all of my scraps. When you have been sewing for as long as I have (more than 50 years), you accumulate more scraps than you can use in five lifetimes. I do like your sweet and simple mug rugs made from the left over strips. So quick and then so easy to have everywhere you might need one.
